Apparatus Manufacturing began in 1986 on a quiet stretch of Commerce Street in Poughkeepsie, NY, when Norman Murley began with little more than a welding booth and a tape-fed CNC machine. His promise was simple: deliver quality parts that fit the first time, at a competitive price. What started as Norman’s leap of faith, soon became the shop local companies counted on, and still do today.
Nearly four decades later, Norman’s son Christopher leads this family-owned, family-run business from the same Poughkeepsie address where it all began. While the shop floor has evolved with autoloading fiber lasers, servo presses, and software-enabled process automation, the atmosphere remains unchanged.
